In the summer of 2017, I had an amazing opportunity to work for the San Francisco Mime Troupe as a Costume Design Intern. A non-profit  traveling theater troupe that uses comedy and original songs to bring up current political issues to the forefront. Working for the troupe has been amazing and unique. Unlike most traditional theaters, the troupe travels to local parks and never charges for admissions. Instead, allows people to choose to donate instead to help support the theater. Which has been a tradition since 1959. I met amazing people and worked for a wonderful Costume Designer, Keiko Carreiro. Who has taught me the costume design process in ways that I would not have learned in the classroom.
