During the fall semester of 2016, I learned mostly about surface design and fabric manipulations that essentially enhanced the designs of a coat that was made for a class project. Learning about surface design taught me skills that includes dyeing fabric, making bleach out designs, stippling, and other skills that would later be turned into fabric that would be cut out into pattern pieces for the garments such as the coat that I made.
